Canfield Library closed Friday due to power outage, Boardman location open without internet

The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County (PLYMC) has announced on Friday that its Canfield location will be closed on Friday, August 25 due to widespread power outages resulting from Thursday night's storms.

According to a press release, there is no time frame of when power will be restored, but FirstEnergy's public relations representative, Lauren Siburkis earlier told 21 News this could be a multi-day effort.

In the meantime, PLYMC's Boardman location is open, but without any internet access. All other PLYMC locations are still open with internet access.
