Storm damage shuts down 1 mile stretch of Little Beaver Greenway Trail

If you plan to enjoy the nice weather with some biking or hiking, you'll have to find somewhere other than the Little Beaver Creek Greenway Trail in Columbiana County.

The Columbiana Park District says a major section of the trail has been closed since Friday's storms.

Extensive tree damage is blocking the trial for a one-mile stretch south of the Eagleton Road crossing.

Park district officials say it may take some time to remove the fallen trees so the section of trail can be reopened.

Approximately 15 miles long, the Little Beaver Creek Greenway Trail runs parallel to Beaver Creek between Lisbon and Leetonia, continuing to Washingtonville at the county line.
