Grand Jury indicts Boardman man police say was carrying half a kilo of cocaine

The Trumbull County Grand Jury has found enough evidence to put a Boardman man on trial after Brookfield police say they caught him with nearly half a kilogram of cocaine.

Donteill Grant, 44, was indicted on charges of trafficking and possessing crack cocaine.

According to police, Grant fled after officers began to search his rental vehicle that had been pulled over for a lane violation along Route 62 this past July.

Police say Grant, who was arrested after a foot chase, was carrying 496 grams of cocaine.

Grant is scheduled to answer the charges in court next month.
