LIBERTY TWP, Ohio - A Walmart Supercenter in Liberty Township held a grand reopening ceremony on Friday following a remodel.

This remodel is more than just a cosmetic change though, with store management telling 21 News there are some new quality of life improvements made with customers in mind.

"We've expanded our grocery department like frozen [and] dairy, we've expanded all of our fresh areas, we've expanded our online grocery area to service more of our customers, we put more parking spots into our parking area so it's a quicker easier pickup," said store manager, Robyn Mediate.

Additionally, the pharmacy and health and wellness center has been moved up to the front wall for easier access for customers.

Mediate went on to say that the community for this location is huge with the store giving to the community and them giving right back.

"We try to give back to the community as much as we can. We partner with all of our local organizations. They're here to support us to we're here to support them," Mediate said.

Members of the Liberty Township and Vienna Center City Council, as well as Liberty Township Police Chief, Toby Meloro and Fire Chief, Douglas Theobald all showed up to the ceremony.

Folks who stop by o Friday can get free samples from vendors including Coca-Cola, 7-Up, Red Bull, Frito Lay and many more. There will also be several mascot characters to visit and take photos with children.
