Voters in Columbiana County can find out how voting for one of the 22 money issues in the current election will impact their property tax bill before they fill out their ballot.

Columbiana County Auditor Nancy Milliken has updated her office’s website enabling property owners to find information about the cost of proposed levies for districts for the November 7th election.

Milliken says in a news release that her office is providing the service so that any approved levies will not be a surprise to taxpayers.

Property owners can input the below address in their internet browser:

To determine the approximate tax change that will likely occur if the levy is approved, enter the parcel number for your property, click on the parcel detail, and then click the “levy” near the top of the screen. You should then find the “estimated annual tax” on your screen.

Milliken notes that the information displayed does not take into consideration any other changes that might be made on other levies in your district.  Only the change resulting from the levy being approved is shown.

Questions regarding any other levy changes being made by the taxing authorities should be directed to the appropriate township or municipal fiscal officer, or school treasurer.
