OSP: Motorcyclist killed after striking deer in Trumbull County

Trumbull County OSP is currently investigating a fatal motorcycle crash in Greene Township Wednesday evening.

Troopers say the crash happened shortly after 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night on State Route 46 when a 2005 Harley Davidson Softail motorcycle driven by 60-year-old James Frank of Orwell, Ohio struck a deer in the roadway.

This caused the motorcycle to overturn and slide off the road with Frank being thrown off. He was pronounced dead at the scene and troopers say he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Greene Township Fire and EMS crews assisted at the scene.

The crash is currently under investigation.
