MVHS purchases former IBM Building in Youngstown for $1.9 million

The Mahoning Valley Historical Society announced Wednesday it has acquired ownership of the former IBM building located at 250 E. Federal Street.

The purchase, which was finalized on November 17, will allow future expansion of the Historical Society presence in Youngstown, along with room for other businesses inside the facility. 

The office building, built in 1979, was purchased for $1.9 million and sits on more 1.5 acres.

More details about MVHS's plans for the building will be unveiled on November 28 at 9:30 am at the  building. 

MVHS currently stores some of its exhibits inside the space.
