UPDATE: East Palestine residents have water once again but remain on a boil order

Residents in East Palestine had their water restored around lunchtime on Wednesday, but remain under a boil order until test results come back. According to The Municipal Offices of East Palestine these test results could take 24 hours or longer to come in.

Water was turned off on South Market Street from 183 South Market going South to the Threshold property including Short, Young, and Oak Street due to a water break yesterday afternoon. This is according to a Facebook post put out by The Municipal offices of East Palestine.

Residents in the affected areas will receive a notice on the door when the order is lifted. Residents in surrounding areas may also experience discolored water or low pressure.
