Penguin City Brewing Company celebrates three year anniversary

Three years ago, the owners of Penguin City Brewing Company purchased a 32,000 square foot warehouse on East Federal Street in downtown Youngstown.

Co-owner Richard Bernacki said the past three years have been a great journey and at times a difficult one.

Despite challenges relating to the uncertainties of COVID, supply and staffing shortages, issues with inflation, and downtown construction, Bernacki told 21 News that he and his wife, Aspasia Lyras-Bernacki, were able to bring their vision to life, which is providing the Valley with a variety of Penguin City Beer mixed with good times.

Over the last few years, the brewery has been an inclusive space for everyone in the Valley.

Bernacki attributes the majority of their success to the unwavering support from the community.
