Mahoning Co. Prosecutor's Office hosting new Town Hall meeting series

The Mahoning County Prosecutor's Office announced a new, informative Town Hall Series on criminal justice and community engagement.

Prosecutor Gina DeGenova will host the town hall series to discuss topics like the criminal justice system, public safety, the Grand Jury process, Mahoning County's new Special Victims Unit and other community initiatives.

According to the Prosecutor's Office, the meetings hope to be a place for open dialogue to address concerns of people in the county.

Each meeting will be held at various locations throughout Mahoning County, giving access to different neighborhoods to join in.

The first three Town Halls have been scheduled:

• January 16, 6:30 p.m. - Beaver Township Admin Building (11999 South Avenue, North Lima)
• February 7, 6:30 p.m. - Jackson Township Government Center (10613 Mahoning Avenue, North Jackson)
• March 6, 6:30 p.m. - Ellsworth Fire Hall (6036 South Warren-Salem Road, North Jackson)

Future Town Hall dates will be announced on the Mahoning County Prosecutor's website.
