A Mahoning County Judge has entered a plea deal Friday morning on charges related to a crash involving him and a bicyclist in Beaver Township back in November

A visiting judge was on the bench Friday as Mahoning County Judge R. Scott Krichbaum pled guilty to two misdemeanor charges of reckless operation and overtaking/passing vehicles headed in the same direction. He will face the maximum fines possible for these charges.

The Ohio Supreme Court has assigned retired Stark County Judge David Stucki to preside over the case.

According to the crash report, the bicyclist was traveling northbound on Sharrott Road on the evening of November 16, and Krichbaum's car was heading in the same direction when he hit the bicyclist.

The report says that after Krichbaum hit the bicycle, he left the scene without stopping. The report also states that Krichbaum came forward after discovering damage to his car.

The bicyclist, a 19-year-old Boardman man, was taken to Mercy Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
