Trumbull-Mahoning DEI Collaborative to host poverty awareness experience in March

Poverty can be a difficult thing to experience, and there are many things that those not experiencing it are not aware of.

In order to change that, the Trumbull-Mahoning DEI Collaborative is hosting a training event called "Project AHA! An Equity Awareness Experience," which will give participants difficult choices on how to maintain their home and feed and care for their family with limited resources and varying circumstances.

Those experiences will then be shared, and they will discuss ways to bring opportunities, resources, and support to those dealing with the challenges of poverty.

"Anyone working with people living in poverty or under-resourced areas is encouraged to attend," Trumbull County Mental Health & Recovery Board Director of School and Community Wellness Carol Holmes-Chambers.

Training will be held on March 15 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Metroplex Expo Center in Girard.
