The Trumbull County Tourism Bureau is selling solar eclipse glasses in preparation for the April 8th total solar eclipse.
The NASA-approved glasses may be purchased for $5 for a pack of 6 at the bureau's office, 321 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The bureau is in the small building in front of the Warren Amphitheatre. between 9 am and 3 pm. The 2024 eclipse will occur during the afternoon of April 8 between 3:08 and 3:19 pm in Ohio. In Trumbull County, the eclipse will last for 2-3 minutes.
If you're looking for the most viewing time possible, the Tourism Bureau says Mesopotamia will have three minutes and eleven seconds of darkness. Kinsman will see two minutes and thirty-three seconds while Newton Falls will just have over two minutes. The City of Warren will only see about a minute and fifty-seven seconds of darkness.
