Build-a-Bear Workshops offering $4 bear to Leap Day birthday celebrants

The Build-A-Bear Workshop is offering a deal to the approximately 200,000 people in the U.S. who have a birthday every four years.

The workshop at the Southern Park Mall is participating in a promotion on Thursday, February 29 with a special offer for people celebrating their Leap Day birthdays to build a Birthday Treat Bear for the special price of $4.

A leap year is added to the calendar every four years and inserts the 29th of February to make up for the extra 0.24 days it takes the Earth to orbit the sun each year. Because it occurs only once every four years, people born on this day celebrate the actual date of their birth less frequently than those born on other days.
