Cortland to host 'celestial celebration' for solar eclipse

Folks in Cortland can celebrate the upcoming solar eclipse during a community-wide event celebrating the phenomena. 

About 3,000 pairs of solar eclipse glasses will be given to attendees during the event, which will be held between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.

The event will be held on West Main Street, according to a news release from the city.

The event will also feature live music, food from local food trucks and an array of pop-up shops featuring products from local businesses, according to the city.
