Former Vice President Mike Pence will speak at a local college next month.
Pence will give the keynote address at the Institute for Faith and Freedom (IFF) 2024 Conference "Confronting Antisemitism" at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 11 at the Crawford Hall Auditorium at Grove City College.
Former Vice President Pence served in Congress (2001-2013), as Governor of Indiana (2013-2017) and as U.S. Vice President (2017-2021) under President Donald Trump.
"We are thankful for the opportunity to hear from Vice President Mike Pence on this critically important topic. He has been very vocal in confronting antisemitism, and we are pleased to welcome him to campus," Grove City College President Paul J. McNulty said.
The news release from Grove City College calls Pence "one of America's foremost Christian political leaders" who has been vocal in confronting antisemitism.
Antisemitism has been an ongoing problem for centuries, most notably during the Holocaust.
The IFF conference will bring some of the leading conservative thinkers in the country to Grove City College to discuss the roots of and resurgence of antisemitism since the October 7 attack on Israel.
Some of the speakers include Paul Packer, former chairman of the United States Commission for the Preservation of America's Heritage Abroad, Michael Medved, a radio and podcast host who is also a New York Times best-selling author, and George Weigel, a Catholic theologian, papal biographer and syndicated columnist.
Grove City College professor of Political Science Dr. Paul Kengor and professor of Biblical and Religious Studies Dr. Carl Trueman will also speak at the IFF Conference.
