Bicyclist struck while riding in Trumbull County before sunup

State Troopers are investigating after a bicyclist was struck by a car about an hour before sunrise in northwest Trumbull County early Friday.

A rescue squad was dispatched to Old State Road in Farmington Township near the Geauga County line at around 6:45 a.m.

The bicyclist, a man believed to be in his fifties, was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in Warren for treatment of minor injuries.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol, which says the accident was not a hit-and-run, is still being investigated.
