A Youngstown man has been indicted on more than a dozen counts in connection to an alleged assault of a pregnant woman.
Rayvon Parker, 25, was indicted by the Mahoning County Grand Jury on 13 counts including felonious assault, aggravated burglary, having weapons under disability, obstructing official business and resisting arrest. All of the aforementioned charges have weapon specifications. He also faces counts of robbery, grand theft of a motor vehicle, domestic violence and assault.
Parker is accused of attacking a pregnant woman at a Boardman apartment back on January 16 while seven children were present.
According to the police report, the victim said she was assaulted by the father of her children and that he stole her car.
When police got to the apartment, the victim told them she was seven months pregnant and had been hit several times in the stomach.
The victim was checked out at the hospital and it was determined that her unborn child was still in good health.
According to the police report, Parker went to the victim's apartment to see his kids and became agitated "out of nowhere" before kicking her several times in the stomach. Parker is accused of dragging her by her hair and punching her in the face before stealing the car.
The day after the alleged attack, officers were called after Parker allegedly returned to the apartment. When police tried to arrest him, he allegedly assaulted officers and ran away, leading to him being tased.
Parker has been held in the Mahoning County Jail since January 17, 2024.
