A man with two drug-related warrants, suspected of overdosing at a Starbucks in Boardman, has escaped St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
Police are looking for Darick Mallory, 37, of Youngstown, who has three warrants for arrest in Mahoning County involving theft, possessing drug instruments and criminal trespass.
He's also wanted for failure to appear in court in Trumbull County, according to the police report.
Mallory arrested on April 2, when police were called to investigate a man that looked like he was overdosing at a Starbucks in Boardman.
Police tried to talk to Mallory, who was described as sluggish and non responsive. Eventually emergency medical services arrived and began evaluating if Mallory was having a medical event or overdosing, according to the police report.
During that time, police searched the man's bag for any for of identification and found epilepsy pills and fentanyl.
He was taken to Mercy Health to be evaluated, where it was discovered he had active warrants out for his arrest.
At the hospital, police were told that Mallory left the hospital with an unknown female at around 5:40 p.m. Police began a search for the suspects, looking at the WRTA terminal in downtown Youngstown.
Attendants said they did see the two at the terminal recently. However, police could not find them in the area.
Youngstown Police and the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office is on the lookout for Mallory, who will be charged with escape once found.
