VIDEO: Water break reported on Western Reserve Road near North Lima

A water main break has been reported on Western Reserve Road near North Lima.

A 21 News viewer sent us a video taken near Market Street in Boardman going into North Lima. The video shows water gushing from the roadway where construction is currently underway.

At this time it is unknown what caused the water break or whether or not residents living nearby are under a boil alert. In the meantime, drivers should avoid the area if possible.

Jeff LaRue of Aqua Ohio tells 21 News the break occurred shortly before 9:00 a.m. when a contractor struck a water line causing the break. 

LaRue tells us the break only affected one customer, which was a nearby bank. As of 11:00 a.m. the line has been repaired and service has been restored.
