Folks in Mahoning County are advised to seek shelter immediately as a tornado warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Cleveland.
The warning is for Northwestern Mahoning County as well as Southeastern Portage County.
The warning was issued for 3:25 p.m. and is expected to last until 5 p.m.
A severe thunderstorm was capable of producing a tornado was spotted eight miles southeast of Ravenna moving east at 15 miles per hour.
People are advised to shelter in a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building and avoid windows.
