The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has just announced multiple new impacts to roadways throughout both Mahoning and Trumbull Counties in the coming days. Here's everything you need to know before you get on the road.
In Green Township and Mecca Township, SR-46 between SR-87 and SR-88, as well as SR-88 from SR-46 to Mosquito Lake will have lane restrictions for pavement repairs and microsurfacing beginning Tuesday May 28.
This is part of the SR-46 & 88 microsurfacing project, which is expected to be completed in June of 2025.
Meanwhile in New Middletown and Springfield Township, Eastbound Middletown Road at SR-170 is closed until Tuesday, May 28. On that same day, Middletown Road just west of SR-170 will be closed until late June for pavement reconstruction.
SR-170 between Struthers Road and Middletown Road will remain closed through mid-October. Drivers should continue following the detour route of SR-617 to SR-165 to SR-626 to SR-7 to US-224 to SR-170.
This is all part of the SR_170 pavement reconstruction project, which is expected to finish in October of 2025.
Meanwhile in Braceville Township, SR-534 just south of SR-5 will be closed between Monday, June 3 and Thursday, June 6 for culvert replacements. The detour will be I-76 to SR-225 to SR-5.
Additionally, in Howland Township, Route 46 under Route 82 was able to open ahead of schedule for the SR-46 & SR-82 Diverging Diamond Interchange Project, which is expected to be finish in the fall of 2026.
In the meantime, SR-46 between Market Street and US-422, as well as SR082 between Elm Road and Howland Wilson Road will have various lane restrictions until November of 2024.
The ramp from East Market Street to SR-82 will also remain closed until November of 2024.
