Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost will be making an appearance in East Palestine on Saturday to discuss the ongoing lawsuit against Norfolk Southern from the fiery train derailment in the village in February of 2023.
The purpose of this visit is to get a feel for residents' primary concerns and their thoughts on how to move forward since at this point, the state has not joined the federal suit.
Yost is unsure if residents will want to do that or not since the federal settlement was agreed to before the final NTSB report, which still hasn't been issued.
The NTSB will be back in the village on Tuesday, June 25 at 9:30 a.m. for a board meeting where the Board will vote on its final findings, probable cause and recommendations.
The Board will also vote on any changes to the draft of the final report.
This meeting is open to the public and will take place at East Palestine High School. If you can't attend in person, the meeting will be live streamed on YouTube.
