Pride in the Valley Festival to return to downtown Warren for fifth year

The fifth annual Pride in the Valley Festival is returning to Downtown Warren Saturday, June 15.

The festival, organized by Valley LGBTQIA+ center Full Spectrum Community Outreach will feature plenty of festivities including a parade and plenty of  entertainment like live music, a drag show, songs and stories for kids and much more.

The event will take place in Courthouse Square in Downtown Warren from noon until 10:00 p.m. A complete schedule of events is as follows:

- 12:00 p.m. - Parade kickoff around Courthouse Square

- 12:30 p.m. - Opening ceremonies on the main stage

- 1:00 p.m. - Showtunes and Showstoppers local theatre showcase

- 2:00 p.m. - Live performance from Denise Russell 

- 3:00 p.m. - Fairy Tales, a kid-friendly show featuring songs and stories

- 4:00 pm. -  A performance from the Cleveland Transgender Choir

- 4:15 p.m. - Open stage

- 5:00 p.m. - Performance from the Pretty Pretty Awful Band

- 6:00 p.m. - Sassy Hour hosted by Sassy Sascha with special guests Effie Vescent, Mr. Lafoole, Oddrians and Luci Dreams

- 7:00 p.m. - Fire and Flow with special guests Pharaoh, Rainbow Phoenix, Kittie Deluxe and Kel C

- 8:00 p.m. - Local Drag Extravaganza with special guests Ophelia Bottom, Starrlet O'Hara, Flatty Patty, Disruptia Heart, Rouxelette the Dawl, Porsha Geist, Tucker Dickens and more.

Entertainment is sponsored by Full Spectrum Community Outreach, Loud 102.3, AAA, Akron Children's Hospital, Huntington Bank, Equitas Health and Macy's.

Additionally, Central Wellness and Outreach Center will be offering free HIV and STI testing and OhioCAN will be giving out free Narcan kits during the event.
