Jim Tressel appointed to Baldwin Wallace University Board of Trustees

Former Youngstown State University football coach and president Jim Tressel has been appointed to Baldwin Wallace University's (BW) Board of Trustees.

Tressel is an alumnus of BW graduating in 1975 with a degree in education. During his time at the university, he acted as the quarterback for the university's football team.

Following this, he served for decades as a football coach spending 15 years at YSU and another 10 at Ohio State University. 

In 2014, Tressel was appointed as YSU's president where he served until 2021.

"BW has a diverse and talented board, but Jim represents a rare opportunity to add the voice of an experienced university president, which is especially valuable as we navigate a challenging environment for all of higher education," said BW Board Chair Lee Thomas.
