U.S. 224 reopens in Berlin Township

 If your holiday travel plans include U.S. Route 224 in western Mahoning County, you’ll be glad to know you won’t need to take a ten-mile detour.

The Ohio Department of Transportation announced on Wednesday that 224 is now open between State Route 534 in Berlin Township and State Route 45

The stretch of highway had been closed since early last week so workers could replace a culvert.
