Mesopotamia Ox Roast expected to draw crowds to Trumbull County this weekend

July Fourth fun is far from over as hundreds of people are expected to converge on a small town in Northwest Trumbull County this weekend for an annual event by the Mesopotamia Volunteer Fireman's Association.

The Mesopotamia Ox Roast begins Friday morning and runs through Sunday at Routes 534 and 87 intersection.

People from all around come to the annual event at 10 a.m. each day to taste the roast beef sandwiches, fries, and beverages.

In addition to the food, an antique and flea market has more than 160 dealers and vendors set up at the festival which also features live entertainment.

If you’re an early bird, The Bloomfield-Mespo Cheerleaders host a pancake breakfast at the town hall daily from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.  The town hall is south of the park across the street from a large wooden horse and buggy.

Admission is free and parking is located at the fire station.
