Milton Twp. officer injured after chase ends in crash

A Milton Township police officer was injured after a police chase ended in a crash Saturday morning.

The incident happened early Saturday morning before 4:00 AM on Northeast River Road near Summerset Drive in Milton Township.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol tells 21 News the officer was chasing another vehicle when the officer lost control of the cruiser causing it to crash.

The officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.  The driver being chased took off from the scene.
