The Youngstown Clothing Co. has designed a new shirt with 100% of the proceeds going towards those impacted by the explosion at the Realty Building in Downtown Youngstown.
Youngstown Clothing Co. co-owner Matt McClure tells 21 News 100% of the proceeds made from the company's new "Hustle & Heart" shirt will go to the United Way, who will use those proceeds to help those affected by the explosion.
McClure says this is not the first time the Youngstown Clothing Co. has done something like this. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the company designed a shirt where 100% of the proceeds went to Second Harvest Food Bank in order to help those in need during that time.
The company raised about $7,000 for Second Harvest back then.
As for the current campaign, McClure tells us the company has raised just shy of $4,000 so far, but he expects that number to grow as the campaign is ongoing.
A check will be presented at the end of July with the initial proceeds, but the sale will continue until at least the end of August. McClure says the shirts will stay available as long as they continue to sell.
One company who has had a relationship with the Youngstown Clothing Co. for quite some time, HD Growth Partners purchased a shirt for each of their employees in order to do its part to support the cause.
The shirts are on sale on Youngstown Clothing Co.'s website for $30 apiece for sizes small through XXL and $32 for 3XL. You can buy one for yourself by clicking here.
