Case of East Liverpool man accused of secretly recording videos of women bound to grand jury

The case of an East Liverpool man accused of secretly recording videos of women undressing in Planet Fitness and Walmart has been bound over to a grand jury in Columbiana County.

According to court records, the case of 24-year-old Shane Wright is now in the hands of a grand jury, who will decide if there is enough evidence to indict him on charges of voyeurism, trespassing and possessing criminal tools.

St. Clair Township Police said Wright was caught using his cell phone to record video of women undressing from the rafters above the women's locker room and tanning bed area of Planet Fitness.

Police said he did this to women in changing rooms at a Walmart in Calcutta as well with one of those alleged victims being a juvenile.

If a grand jury decides to indict Wright, his case will be bound over to the Columbiana County Common Pleas Court.
