Two rescued from burning Boardman home

Boardman firefighters rescued two people from a burning home late Thursday.

A caller told a dispatcher that smoke was pouring from a window at a home along Shadyside Drive just west of Market Street before midnight.

Firefighters rescued one person still inside the home and another who had fled to the roof of the two-story house.

The fire was quickly put out. There’s no word on the cause of the blaze.

No injuries were reported.
