Friday's 'Chalk on the Walk' event to brighten Downtown Youngstown

Youngstown city sidewalks will be adorned with splashes of color during Friday afternoon’s Downtown Chalk on the Walk event.

The public is invited to stop by West Federal near Phelps Street from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. to take a look at the artistry created by local organizations and businesses using chalk on sidewalks and patios.

Presented by SMARTS and the Butler Institute of Art, the event was originally scheduled a week ago, but was postponed due to rain.
