Drone flight training expanding throughout valley

Drone's are becoming more and more common and school's around the valley are adding drone flight training courses to meet demand.  

The Educational Service Center of Eastern Ohio gathered teachers looking to add programs to their districts and trained them on operations.

Eight educators completed their final in-person flight training so they'll be certified to teach students. 

"The kids when they go through the course, they can go and fly the drones to take pictures and video," Ken Weeks USI drone instructor. "They can also use it in the ag industry, the infrastructure industry - they can fly over power lines and cell towers for inspection. There's all these kids of things they can do."
