An employee-owned company based in Canton, Ohio has donated $30,000 to The Rich Center for Autism. The funds were raised during a company golf outing as part of GBS’s Year of Giving Initiative.

The Rich Center for Autism provides education, research, and support for individuals with autism. The center accepts children of all socioeconomic backgrounds and cultures at no cost to families.

The donation will support various needs at The Rich Center, including building renovations, soundproofing, classroom improvements, and student support.

“We were very impressed with The Rich Center and what it offers our community,” said Jennifer Ostapiak, vice president of human resources at GBS. “It’s a nonprofit that really seeks to help families.”

GBS partners with brand names as well as smaller organizations to provide solutions for increased productivity.

“This is an amazing gift that will have a long-lasting impact on our facility and those we serve,” said Mike Latessa, executive director of The Rich Center for Autism. “GBS showed us a tremendous amount of generosity by making us a beneficiary of their own fundraising efforts.”
