Volunteers in the Mahoning Valley and beyond are preparing to collect Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts during National Collection week beginning November 18 and lasting through November 25.
Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has been collecting and delivering gift-filled shoeboxes to children who may be suffering from war, poverty, disease or disaster.
The project partners with churches across the country to deliver these shoeboxes to those children in need. Participants can donate $10 per shoebox gift online and receive a tracking label to discover its destination.
