Police in Youngstown were busy over weekend handling three separate reports of cars being stolen in the city.

The thefts occurred Friday and Saturday. All three vehicles were of different makes and models and the circumstances leading up to the thefts greatly differ in each case.

One theft happened on East Boston Avenue after a driver left his Toyota Tacoma running in his driveway while he used the restroom.

Another happened on Neilson Avenue when a Kia Sportage was stolen. In this case, police say there were no signs of forced entry and the keys to the car were in the house.

Another case on Bott Street involved a break-in, which led to the theft of clothing, as well as a Dodge Durango along with its title and keys.

Of these three cases, the only vehicle that was found so far is the Kia Sportage, which was found parked behind a vacant house on Star Street. Police say the car's steering column had been stripped.

No suspects have been named in any of these thefts. It is unknown if any of these thefts are connected at this time.
