Ohio BCI investigating deadly officer-involved shooting in Ravenna Tuesday

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating an officer-involved shooting that left one man dead in Ravenna.

Steve Irvin, press secretary of Ohio BCI, said they were notified of the officer-involved shooting just before noon on Tuesday. 

The shooting happened on the Portage Hike and Bike Trail and Irvin says BCI is in the preliminary stage of its investigation.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting is asked to contact BCI at 855-224-6446 or the Ravenna Police Department.

Irvin said no officers were injured during the incident.
