The Boardman Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a suspect in a burglary at Kohl’s department store, located at 383 Boardman Poland Rd.
Responding to a report of a person inside the store after closing hours on Saturday, officers learned that a female suspect had entered the store after employees closed for the night. Security footage revealed the suspect pushing a shopping cart filled with merchandise around 10:36 pm.
The suspect exited the store through a fire door, which may not have been properly secured. Officers recovered a full shopping cart containing men's athletic clothing, comforters, blankets, and shirts outside the store. The goods are valued at more than $3,900.
Police took a sample of a bloodstain discovered on one of the blankets as evidence.
Investigators believe the same suspect may have been in the store earlier that day (around 5:58 p.m.), attempting to make a purchase but leaving without paying.
Here is a description of the suspect:
Police are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect or has any information about this incident to contact Detective Gerald Kamensky at gkamensky@boardmantwp.com or by phone at 330-726-4150 ext.#61848.
