Breast cancer fundraiser at Westside Bowl to benefit Youngstown native

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Westside Bowl is partnering up with the Apple Breast Cancer Warrior Foundation and All About the Pawz dog rescue to fundraise for a Youngstown native who has been battling with breast cancer for two years.
Kat Jackson was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer when she was 25. According to information on a gofundme page ran by Jackson and others, this diagnosis has upturned her life in ways she could not have expected, and is struggling to pay for necessities like rent, gas, food, travel expenses and more.
The Apple Breast Cancer Warrior Foundation is helping to put this event together, featuring activities such as vendors, a basket raffle, a merchandise table with designs from Kat Jackson, a pup costume party, a line-up of female-fronted bands and much more. Information on the event activities can be found on the Westside Bowl website.

In addition to helping fighters like Kat Jackson, the Apple Breast Cancer Warrior Foundation does more. The Foundation puts together care kits for cancer centers.
These kits include a blanket, Chapstick, hard candies, socks, personalized messages and other positive materials to support individuals. These care kits are then sent to local people in need.
