Canfield Police Department mourns death of K-9

K9 Rocky, Canfield Police Department

The Canfield Police Department is mourning the death of a beloved K-9.

K-9 Rocky, a 9 ½ year old Dutch Shepherd, died on November 5 after a battle with cancer.

Rocky was born in Croatia, and began serving the City of Canfield alongside Officer Chad DeBarr in May of 2017.

The department will hold a memorial service for Rocky at Fair Park on Tuesday, November 12. Around 10:45 a.m., a law enforcement procession will start at the Canfield Fairgrounds. The procession will travel through Canfield to Fair Park. The service will begin at 11 a.m. Community members are welcome to attend.
