Two men are in the Trumbull County Jail following separate police pursuits in Trumbull County that ended in crashes late Tuesday.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a Trooper gave chase after spotting a car with expired plates at around 5:30 p.m. along the Route 5 bypass.

The pursuit ended near the Kent State University Trumbull Campus in Champion when the Chevy Impala was involved in an accident.

Troopers tell 21 News that the driver, wanted on previous warrants, was booked into the Trumbull County Jail.

A few hours later, the Patrol joined a pursuit that started after Warren Police spotted a wanted vehicle off Parkman Road.

The SUV was wanted in connection with a shooting investigation in Youngstown, where police had chased the vehicle a couple of times earlier on Tuesday.

The SUV crashed near the East Market Street Exit Ramp from Route 82 at around 10:30 p.m.

The driver, who wasn’t seriously injured, was taken to county jail.
