Boardman Township to resurface several roads this summer

Boardman Township is about to see several of its roads repaved in 2025. 

In 2021, Mahoning County residents approved a 0.25 percent county sales tax for five years to help pave county roads and repair bridges. 

The township is receiving $1,175,761.80, with the vast majority of the funding — $946,966.90 — coming from the 0.25 percent county sales tax for roads. At the same time, $150,000 will become available after July 1 from the Ohio Public Works Commission, and local funding will cover the remaining $78.794.90.

The Boardman Township Road Department has 145 miles of roads, and according to the road department,  the following roads will be resurfaced sometime this summer:
