Boardman Township to resurface several roads this summer

Boardman Township is about to see several of its roads repaved in 2025. 

In 2021, Mahoning County residents approved a 0.25 percent county sales tax for five years to help pave county roads and repair bridges. 

The township is receiving $1,175,761.80, with the vast majority of the funding — $946,966.90 — coming from the 0.25 percent county sales tax for roads. At the same time, $150,000 will become available after July 1 from the Ohio Public Works Commission, and local funding will cover the remaining $78.794.90.

The Boardman Township Road Department has 145 miles of roads, and according to the road department,  the following roads will be resurfaced sometime this summer:

• Marwood Circle, from Market Street to the cul de sac.
• Wildwood Drive, from Glenwood to Mill Creek.
• Brookfield Avenue, from Glenwood to the dead-end
• Argyle Avenue, from Montrose to Afton
• Argyle Avenue, from Southern to dead-end
• Paxton Rd., from Melbourne to Brookfield
• Larkridge Ave., from South to Glenridge
• Brandon Ave., from Sheridan to State Route 170
• Melbourne Ave., from Glenwood to Market
• Pheasant Drive, from US Route 224 to E. Huntington
• N. Cadillac, from Glenwood to Market
• S. Cadillac, from Glenwood to Market
• Aylesboro, from Market to Glenwood
• Pearson Circle at Eisenhower
• Oak Avenue, from Park Ave. to dead-end
• Brazelton Drive, from Saddlebrook to Presidential
• Debartolo Drive, from Market to Southern
• Creston, from Spring Garden to Stoney Creek
• Sugartree Drive, from US 224 to the dead-end
• Timothy Lane, from Youngstown City limit to Straley
• Rush Blvd., from Youngstown City limit to Annawan
• Rush Circle, from Rush Blvd. to cul de sac
• Zander, from Baymar to Hopkins
• Carter Circle at Glennwood
• Waggaman Circle at Glenwood
