Girard vintage candy store celebrates two-year anniversary, presents check to Akron Children's

A vintage candy store in Girard is celebrating its two-year anniversary, presenting a check to Akron Children's Hospital in Mahoning Valley.

The check presented to Akron Children's on February 7 totaled $20,040.25 and will be given to the NICU, the funds gathered over the year of 2024 by Sweet Memories Vintage Tees & Candy.

Sweet Memories has been raising money since 2020, gathering a total of $66,597.09 to help provide resources to Akron Children's for neonatal care.

The store will also be holding a weekend of celebrations related to customer appreciation and three new licensing partnerships beginning February 7.

Sweet Memories is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is located at 1282 Trumbull Avenue Suite A1, Girard.
