Firefighters from the Greenville Fire Department were called to respond to a car on fire shortly after 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Shortly after, the call was upgraded to a structure fire due to how close the car was to a home nearby.

A car was found in a driveway on fire with flames extending to the porch.

Greenville Police on scene assisted in getting residents out of the home while firefighters battled the blaze. Within minutes, the flames were extinguished.

No injuries were reported.

West Salem Volunteer Fire Department was called to check if the fire had extended into the home, but nothing was found.

Pictures of the scene from the Greenville Firefighters Facebook page show the front and inside of the car was heavily damaged.
