Two Venezuelan women are charged in Warren for allegedly possessing fraudulent green cards that would permit them to live in the United States.
According to a press release 33-year-old Dicla Perez-Rodriduez and 39-year-old Emileth Briceno-Rodriguez are both charged with fraud and misuse of visas, permits and other documents.
Court documents state the two women were traveling with others and were found asleep in a vehicle parked outside of a convenience store in Warren. Police found that the license plate did not match the vehicle, nor was the registered owner with the vehicle.
The two women were brough to the Warren Police Department for questioning. Police say the numbers that appeared on their green cards traced back to a Chinese national and a Cuban national.
Additionally, police say the numbers listed on their social security cards did not trace back to them.
The two were indicted by a federal grand jury.
