Columbiana County has 169.22 miles of county roads plus 869.77 miles of township roads and is looking to chip & seal county roads and village roads.

The county will pave nearly 6 miles of roads with hot mix asphalt at an estimated cost of $1.3 million, including county, township, and village roads. The county will chip and seal an additional 90.2 miles at a cost of around $2.7 million, including materials, equipment, and labor. Townships and villages will be responsible for purchasing the emulsion and the slag for their roads. The County Engineer's Office will provide the labor and equipment for the program.

Paving is expected to begin by mid-May and continue till the first week of September.
