Two car crash in Girard sends one to hospital

One person was taken to the hospital after a two car crash in Girard. 

According to the Weathersfield Fire Department's Facebook page, two cars crashed along Salt Springs road near the Petro Truck Stop. 

Both vehicles sustained heavy damage, and one person was taken to the hospital with injuries. 

Weathersfield Police and the Weathersfield Fire Department both responded to the crash.
