Protest planned at Mahoning County Courthouse in Downtown Youngstown

The Mahoning Valley Freedom Fighters (MVFF) plan to hold a protest at the Mahoning County Courthouse on Saturday, April 19.

In a media release, the MVFF says they are holding this protest, titled "We Will Not Be Silenced," to demand accountability, justice and peace locally and globally.

"The Mahoning Valley Freedom Fighters are raising their voices for those who cannot be heard and calling on the community to stand together against social injustice."

There will be speakers from the area with a passion for social change and there will be cookies for attendees of the protest.

"Our goal is to bring our community together, raise awareness of local and global issues, and push for real change."

The protest will start at 3 p.m. and go on until 6 p.m.
