Summer-like again on Thursday, but changes are on the way

Plenty of warmth and sunshine are in the forecast again on Thursday. Highs will ramp up into the 80s this afternoon and will remain in the 70s well into the evening. That means it will be a great day to get some yard work done or fire up the grill!

Our next storm system will start to approach the region overnight, leading to an increase in cloud cover and possibly a shower or two early Friday morning. Tomorrow will be a much more unsettled day with showers around at times. Rain chances will be a bit higher in the afternoon, so keeping your umbrella around all day won't be a bad idea.

A cold front will move through Friday night, bringing a more widespread round of showers overnight. Behind the front, much cooler air will move in to start the weekend.

Temperatures will spend much of Saturday in the upper 40s to low 50s with a chance for morning showers. Skies will clear out Saturday night, and sunshine is back in the forecast for Sunday.

High temperatures will ramp back up during the first half of next week, and we could hit 80 degrees again on Tuesday.
