Man suffers broken foot after being hit by car in Boardman

Boardman police are investigating after a pedestrian was hit by a car Thursday night.

The crash happened around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Route 224 and Southern Boulevard.

Officials on scene say a person was hit in the area and taken to the hospital.

A dispatcher with the Ohio State Highway Patrol identified the pedestrian as 20-year-old Ryan Massey of Boardman. The dispatcher says Massey's injuries were not life threatening and that he suffered a broken foot.

Massey was cited for walking along the highway according to the dispatcher.
